How the AQF, RTOs and nationally recognised training actually work when you are choosing — or finishing — a course in Australia.

Nationally recognised training is a promise with a logo: a red and green triangle, a unit code, a record that another RTO is supposed to honour. It is also a market that has seen providers close, scopes shrink and students left with half a qualification and a liquidator’s letter.

We publish here for people choosing a course, comparing Certificate IV with a Diploma, or trying to finish a self-paced enrolment while doing shift work. We explain ASQA, the AQF and what “accredited” does and does not buy you. We do not sell seats.
